Homemade Beer Bread

I'm sharing one of my favorite go-to recipes. Most of my comfort foods are carb-overload so obviously I love Beer Bread. On special occasions I used to get the catalog boxed variety, but I always wanted more and am too cheap to stock up on those boxes.

One of my aunts shared a homemade version in my recipe book (greatest bridal shower present ever!) and I think this version is even better than the boxed.

Its got a few ingredients and is like a beginner skill level when it comes to breads.

Are you ready?

Ingredients

3 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
4 1/2 TBsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 can of carbonated beverage.....beer or pop

Stir together and spread in a greased bread pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Cool 5 minutes in the pan after you take it out of the oven and then finish cooling the loaf on a baking rack (or the counter).

I almost always make this bread when we have Beef Stew. That pairing is a definite house favorite. It's also good with spinach dip, white pizza dip, and most cheese balls.
