Kendall has many loves in his life. Some days I swear cheese is higher up on the list than I am...
Of course he loves this dip. Someone he works with brought it on snack day and Kendall asked for the recipe and immediately sent it to me. Being the good wife I am, I put this on our Super Bowl menu and we enjoyed each and every bite even more than the game!
Here's the Delicia Disclaimer: I didn't exactly follow the recipe, like usual.....
Ingredients
8 oz block of cream cheese, softened
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
6 thick slices of Provolone cheese
Parmesan cheese crumbs
Parsley or Oregano
Thyme
Basil
Garlic Salt
Dried Onion Flakes
Red Pepper Flakes
Salt and Pepper
Mix softened cream cheese and 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella. Stir in 2-4 TBsp parmesan cheese and 1/2 tsp each of the seasonings and spices (more or less according to your tastes).
Spread half of this mix in the bottom of a lightly greased glass baking dish. Overlap 2 slices of provolone on top and repeat those layers. End with a last layer of provolone. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella and more parmesan on top.
Bake for 25 minutes at 400.
A great add in that I didn't think of in time would be those mini pepperonis or larger slices chopped up. Yum!
We ate this dip with Wheat Thins and homemade "Beer" bread that I made with Sierra Mist instead of a can of beer. So, so yummy!
