Eli loves school. He's excited to leave in the morning and is excited when he returns home. His teachers send good reports and I'm convinced he's having more fun at school than he does at home.
This is his second year of school and he still doesn't want to tell me about his days.
I've gotten creative in my questions and maybe these will also help you talk to your children about their school days.
Once I get Eli talking about one thing, it's easier to keep the conversation flowing and learn more about his day. Just have to find the right question to get things started ;)

- What was your favorite thing to eat at lunch? What didn't you like at lunch? Did you eat it all?
- Who did you sit with on the bus?
- What was something you wish you could have worked harder on?
- Did you stay inside or go outside for recess?
- What color do you remember seeing at school?
- What letter did you practice writing?
- Who did you sit next to at lunch?
- What toy did you play with during free play?
- When did you hear your Bible story? In the morning or the afternoon?
- Did you meet anyone new?
- What color did you end the day on? Green, yellow, or red?
- What are you excited for the next day at school?
