Muddy Buddies

AKA Puppy Chow

is devoured faster than nachos at a Super Bowl party in this house.

Specifically by me and my baby boy. He sure does have a sweet tooth! and isn't afraid of cereal like another little boy of mine. (Seriously, what kind of kid won't eat cereal! Not even the only-sugar-no-redeeming-ingredient-kind??)

So, yesterday afternoon we whipped up a batch of Muddy Buddies and are cuddled on the couch eating it right now.

Yes, this definitely needs to be in your recipe collection. I'm convinced even 10-year-olds could make this snack without assistance.

Ingredients:

10 cups Chex/Crispix Cereal
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup CRUNCHY peanut butter
2 TBsp margerine
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Pour cereal in a really big bowl or baggie. In a microwave safe bowl, put in peanut butter, margerine, and chocolate chips (in that order). Microwave on high 30 minutes. Stir. Repeat. Pour over cereal and stir/shake until cereal is coated. Finally, pour powdered sugar on top and shake/stir until coated.
Make sure you don't break up all the chunks, those are the best part!

And maybe, just maybe you should divide into individual servings so you don't tempt yourself with the whole bowl.
