Happy Winter?

Doesn't this just describe this week's weather?
How crazy!

We were really lucky in that we didn't lose any big branches (or even a lot of little ones) at our place. Just one that fell in front of the kitchen window. It was small enough that I could easily pick it up and crack it :)

The morning we had snow on the ground, (Thursday, April 11) the boys woke up from the snow plows/snow blowers outside their windows BEFORE 7AM. Since we haven't had snow for a while, we decided we'd better make the best of our morning and go outside. BEFORE 7AM! We donned our snow gear and dug the snow shovels out of the garage. Our nice neighbors scooped the sidewalks so all that was left was the driveway. I had plenty of "help" and it only took 30 minutes (with a broken shovel) to clear the way. With driveway cleared, we had time to throw snowballs, make snow angels, and build a Frosty before it was time to go to town. Complete with carrot nose, the boys were thrilled to talk to Frosty and pose for pictures :)
