We're going to celebrate and celebrate until all the partying has us pooped!
Today is Kendall's birthday!
I love this man.
And I love birthdays.
There's no way he can ever ignore this day or not have a party.
The boys love the extra sugar and, while Daddy doesn't like all the extra attention, he's enjoying the general excitement and happy attitudes.
Last night the boys and I baked and decorated a cake. Chocolate with chocolate chips and chocolate frosting and chocolate syrup and more chocolate chips and M&Ms.... Are you catching our theme?
It's perfect for Kendall!
After supper I strapped on an apron and slaved away in the kitchen baking treats to bring to Kendall's work. They enjoyed some Cappuccino muffins, Cranberry Orange Muffins, Peanut Butter balls, M&M cookies, and Apple Cider Snickerdoodles. I wasn't happy with how the Monkey Bread turned out so we (so unfortunately...) had to eat it at home. ;)
Eli was in party mode first thing when he woke up and had balloons on the brain. (Not sure where he got that from...) We made a special stop and picked up some helium balloons-one from each boy. Unfortunately, Kendall is super swamped at work and we couldn't stay. We tied down the balloons with OJ, Chapstick, Kleenex and a chocolate bar. Poor guy is still sick. (Shouldn't there be a law about being sick on your birthday!?!)
I have a special supper already started and we'll continue celebrating when everyone is home. The kids will give their cards and we'll probably play some new (to us) XBox games.
I hope and pray this day is special and Kendall can feel how much he's loved.
