This past weekend I had the privilege of attending a retreat with my fellow MOPS leaders.
It was a BLAST!
I was needing the break from the kids more than anything, and was feeling empty before we left on Friday. I needed to be revived and refilled.
Our retreat did just that very thing!
I got to hang out with moms who "get it" and offered a listening ear and some great advice over the weekend.
We ate delicious food all.weekend.long. and I didn't care if I gained a single pound or not around these ladies.
We spent time in prayer. Really praying for each other. For our MOPS group. For leadership in general. For single moms. For working moms. For moms we hope will join our group. It was beautiful to be surrounded by Spirit-filled women with such a passion for this ministry.
That's not to say we didnt' have relaxing fun either! We sat in a hot tub, did a lot of chatting, ate some more, and could take our time getting ready for the day; something none of us get to do at home!
And we planned and brainstormed and crossed things off our to-do lists. I am beyond excited to see how this year plays out!
Being in charge of the Specials this year is something new for me, but not a scary kind of new. I get to be creative and challenge myself in different ways than I have in the past few years. I'm recognizing my gifts, giving it up to the Lord, and sharing with others my passion for repurposing, reusing, and creating.
So, any new moms out there who don't know what MOPS is, PLEASE shoot me a message and I'd love to tell you all about it! Or give you information on how you can find your own group! Or start a group! Or join my local group! We love it when we meet new moms :D
I'm off to go make some rediculously awesome nametags for some of my favorite moms!
