Some days naps don't go well. The kids don't sleep long and they wake up crabby. We're having too many of those days lately.
These days test my patience and creativity. They want to be entertained and I don't want to get a headache from all the whining and crying.
And I am NOT a fan of pacifying my kids with tv or movies. (I do let them watch some, but nowhere close to everyday)
Well, yesterday I had just had enough so I told the boys to take off their clothes and jump in the tub. 100+ degrees is hot enough for me to stay inside all day and not even attempt going to the pool.
I've been rotating bathtub toys, but they weren't into that so I whipped up some quick bathtub "paint" for them.

Yeah, they hated it. Can you tell?
If you have kids, you should make this! Shaving cream with food coloring. They painted the doors, the tub, and themselves and it ALL washed away. Eli may have enjoyed wiping it up more than making the mess.
And, to turn adult on you.... This would probably be fun to do with your spouse. Just sayin' you gotta get creative sometimes.
