Last weekend we packed up and headed out to Mill Creek Park for a few days of camping and fishing. Iowa has a free family fishing weekend and we wanted to take the kids out and get in as much fishing as we could. Shortly after we arrived Friday night it started raining and continued through the night. We woke up to a big mess on Saturday but enjoyed a lot of time by the water. Thankfully the boys were able to get some quick naps in before my parents showed up and spent a few hours with us for supper and more fishing.
Kendall, once again, did not even have a bite on his line. hahaha
Sydney caught 6 fish total over the 3 trips she took that day. One giant bullhead, 2 bass, 2 bluegill, and 1 perch. She even took her first fish off the line!
Even with the rain and running around, and maybe 30 minutes of relaxation for me, we had a great time and hope to be back a couple more times this summer!
