Fishin'

Yup, we went. Our first time this year. Actually, the first time the boys have ever gone. It was ok. Eli was so excited and had to explore the whole area. Isaac slept. Sydney didn't catch anything, but still had a good time. Kendall caught a little Perch. or was it Bluegill? Not a keeper in any case. We saw some other animals while there and the kids enjoyed them as well.

One of the few seconds Eli actually held on to a pole.

I miss the weather we had that night. Now we're stuck with this collapse-your-lungs-it's-so-hot weather. I'm thankful for the wind today. The boys and I have not been taking our walks in the morning because it's over 80 when we get ready. That's just too hot and I'm scared some stranger would find us heat exhausted on the side of the road somewhere. I don't have to completely forego my walks though; yay for a treadmill in our nice air conditioned basement! I almost want a sweater down there, it's a wonderful escape from this heat. I've been taking a long time to do laundry this week as my excuse to be downstairs.

Eli prefers being in the water to cool off and was spoiled by our wonderful neighbor and taken to the city pool yesterday afternoon. He had so much fun! This morning by 10 he was in his inflatable pool outside to cool down. He was thrilled to have Isaac to share it with him. I'm just glad no one called us on Isaac's indecent exposure!

Here's to staying cool in this heat! (raise iced cold ruby red kool aid now) Cheers!
