Isaac is finally feeling better! Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. My baby is getting bigger and bigger-he cut his first tooth this weekend! I need him to stay small and cuddle for a while longer-I don't want to let him grow up. Sydney also was sick over the weekend; she came home with a sore throat on Thursday and I took her and Isaac to the clinic on Friday morning. Ugh, that was quite the morning. We waited 55 minutes to be seen by the on-call doctor and then another long wait for the lab to process her strep test results. 2 hours total in the clinic that morning. :( She's doing much better with some antibiotics and cough drops.
We left late for MN on Friday, but we made it safely to visit my grandparents for the weekend. It was wonderful to spend time together, eat lots of yummy food, and chit chat. We hid eggs for the kids on Sunday afternoon and they had fun re-hiding them and eating their candy. Sydney and I made some Rice Krispie candy filled easter eggs-they turned out pretty tasty! The highlight of Eli's trip was definitely visiting Uncle Darwin and Aunt Karen on their farm to see some tractors. He was pretty intimidated but enjoyed every second.
I went to the Dr. today to have my spots biopsied. Another long wait and 2 hours spent thinking and reading out-dated magazines. My Dad took the kids since this is one appointment they were NOT going to come with. The procedure went well and I get my stitches out in a week along with the test results. I'm trying not to think about it too much-it's in God's hands and He will give me a calm mind and peace whatever the results may be. I still appreciate your thoughts and prayers about this for me. (The spots still hurt a little too :( )
Part of me still can't believe it's almost May! Where has time gone? We have so much planned for this coming month and are really excited-graduations, birthdays, anniversaries, school events, summer rec, and the list goes on! I'm trying to conserve some energy to get to June. Good luck, right?
We received some unfortunate news this weekend and prayers are needed for Kendall's sister and her family. Please pray for comfort and peace as they're hurting and God's plan seems unclear right now.
