Snow Globes-Learn From My Mistakes

We decided to make our own snow globes for a craft one morning. It's really easy and I bet you can make one yourself if you wanted to.

Clean some clear plastic jars really well. We used peanut butter jars.

Laminate a cut out picture (Yes, you have to laminate it or the water will destroy the coloring) or find a cool little toy or trinket to hot glue on the inside of the lid. *One month later: DON'T use hot glue. Use a water-resistant glue. The hot glue did not last and their little pictures float around in the jar, which is actually cuter in this case. But, you should just use some other kind of glue.*

Fill the jar almost all the way with water and add up to 1/2 tsp of glitter. Glue the lid so the kids can't dump all the glittery water out and you're done! (I also added some baby oil to help the glitter stay suspended longer, also a bad idea. Oil and water don't mix- remember? It made things kinda cloudy.)

Give them some good shakes and pose for pictures!

Shake and enjoy!
