July Recap

July came and went in a blink and here we're in full back to school mode at our house. Why does this surprise me every year? Ridiculous!

We had a lot of fun in July this year and here it is in picture form for your enjoyment.

Sydney finished her last game of her last year of Summer Rec Softball with a win!

These two goofed off, like usual.

She's actually ready for the ball this time! This was Syd's best year yet and had some really nice catches that helped her team.

We made it to the pool a couple times. Of course the kids love the water just like their daddy!

Fireworks on the 4th.

The boat motor may have blown up while we were out on the lake, but these two still managed to have fun on the beach.

Our family participated in the Summerfest Parade in Hull. The kids are already asking when they can do it again next year.

Eli started swimming lessons and LOVED every bit of it. Jumping off the board was his favorite. He learned a few games and passed to the next level!

Sydney took another year of lessons too! She's still practicing on getting the strokes down just right. Thankfully she also loves to swim and lessons are a breeze!

We camped at Sandy Hollow, which means we HAD to go fishing. Syd was the first to catch a fish and only minutes after casting her first line. A nice sized Bluegill.

Daddy finally caught a fish after a long dry spell :) Mama Catfish.

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit and fished with us as well. No one caught anything, but the kids loved pointing out the animals and practicing their casting.

Our annual trip to the county fair was perfect! Supper was free (which was awesome!), Eli came so close to having a pull-through on his first ever Pedal Pull, Sydney hung out with a new friend, and we made it through the barns without crying and screaming! Haha....my kids aren't big fans of animals.

Isaac was even brave enough to pet a sheep.

Sydney held the bunny out for the boys to pet.

More events not captured: Superhubby fixed a new motor for the boat, I was able to get a lot of priming done on the house, we all won prizes for participating in the Summer Reading Program at the library, and we've made the most out of every single day.

Man, I love Summer!
