Every Summer when I was growing up my mom would make sun tea. I'd have to chase off the flies and little black bugs so she could enjoy her summertime drink.
I never liked the stuff.
I still don't like the stuff. (even when Kendall made it an "adult drink" for me) Give me a mouth-puckering lemonade any day!
But it turns out my husband could drink it by the gallon and I love him, so I make the stuff.
Bonus: It's easier to make than Kool Aid so I've been known to let Eli make it for Daddy.
If you're an iced-tea lover, this is for you.
You can sweeten it if you want, but I've been told it's best just the way it is.

Sun Tea
- Fill a pitcher with hot water.
- Float two regular size tea bags (your choice of flavor) or one pitcher size bag in water.
- Cover (best to use a pitcher with a lid!)
- Set out in the sun for an hour. or two. or the whole afternoon when you forget to bring it back inside.
- Dump the used tea bag(s) and refrigerate until cold.
You can sweeten it if you want, but I've been told it's best just the way it is.
