My parents make a Corn/Sausage Chowder around Christmastime every year and I thought this variation would make a good crockpot meal tonight since I won't have my usual meal prep time. Hopefully I'm right and we won't have to scramble to find something else for supper!
Ingredients:
1# ground pork sausage
1 small onion, chopped
1 can kernel corn, drained
1 can cream style corn
1 12 oz can evaporated milk
4oz velveeta, cubed
1 stalk celery, diced
4 potatoes, peeled and diced
1 TBsp flour
2 cups water
salt
pepper
Brown sausage and onion, rinse and drain; dump into crockpot. Add remaining ingredients and stir. Cook on high 1 hour then low 4 more hours.
We haven't actually tasted it yet, but I'm just going to go ahead and assume this is a good one. It's only been cooking an hour and the house smells great!
