I pinned this a couple months ago and it didn't take long to fall in love with it. *modified, of course*
I think the little balls look like cookie dough, and it's a good thing it tastes close to that. I LOVE cookie dough, but know it's so unhealthy. This is a great alternative, and just a great snack in general!
Ingredients:
1 cup quick cook oatmeal
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup honey
Stir all together and form into 1 inch balls. No need to refrigerate. But you should hide them or you'll eat them in one sitting. I don't think I can admit how many I ate last time I sat down with these and a sappy chick flick one naptime.... let's say I was passed the recommended serving size.
Oh, and if you have a problem with the "dough" being too sticky when you're rolling the balls, add a little more honey. I had this problem the last time I made it, but the honey solved the sticky-problem.
Isaac could finish off what I don't eat, but Eli doesn't care for these. Probably becaue there's oatmeal in them and that could be considered "healthy". Someone find me a homemade snack this kid will eat!!
