There's nothing quite like a good steak off the grill. With it being summer and all that, I thought I'd share what we did to our steaks last night.
Steak Marinade:
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
3 Tbsp honey
3 Tbsp brown sugar
Whisk all together in shallow dish. Coat both sides of meat and leave in the dish. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours before grilling.
Steak Rub:
The ingredients are based off of this recipe, but I changed the measurements to fit my tastes.
This makes a pretty big batch, so make sure you have a container large enough to store it.
1/2 cup paprika
3 Tbsp brown sugar
5 Tbsp kosher salt
1 Tbsp black pepper
2 Tbsp ground coffee
2 Tbsp Italian seasoning (oregano and thyme)
When you're ready to coat your meat, drizzle some olive oil on one side and rub over entire steak. Shake/pour/rub 1 Tbsp of rub on each steak. Refrigerate 2+ hours to let the seasonings permeate.
I hope you enjoy some grilled steaks soon!
