I found the idea for a DVD case pencil holder on Pinterest. (of course on Pinterest, are you not aware of my addiction!?)
With multiple families with little kids traveling this summer (mine NOT included) I decided to make a bunch of these as gifts.
I cleaned out some DVD cases that we have at home and folded fabric into pockets on the right side of the case, hot gluing to hold in place. There are 2 pockets in each case and in the left side I stuck some fun kid-stuff under the tabs. The open case here has stickers, a pipe cleaner, and a plastic mat (Chick-fil-a anyone?)
For the cover I just stuck a sheet of scrapbook paper in (cut to size) with the kids' names on the front.
I maybe spent 10 minutes on each case and just filled it with stuff that I had at home.
This is a pretty successful project if you ask me! Nap time well spent. :)
