It's been a while and I thought I should catch everyone up on what happened last week.
We went to Sioux Falls to the dreaded eye dr. appointment for Isaac on Thursday. We almost didn't make it on time :S but thanks to my husband's awesome driving, we did. While waiting to be taken to the exam room, the little Mr. wiped out and hit himself in the corner of his eye-the EXACT spot he had gotten a cut the day before. So, his eye had a nice bump and purple spot just in time to see the dr. We had to give some medical background information, a brief exam, and then the dilating drops. Isaac was a trooper! Not one sound came out of that little boy while Daddy held him down and the nurse put the drops in. We had a nice long wait before getting examined again and we filled the time with magazines, running down hallways, and crunching cheerios into the floor. Oops!
The exam was quick (thank God!) and painless (again, thanks!). And it was determined that our little boy does not have problems with his eyes going out of focus or drifting off in any direction. This is not to say that his eyes are set for life, but the chances of there being a "major" problem are slim. He is a little near-sighted, but it's nothing to be concerned about right now.
Praise God for such a wonderful report and that Isaac was so cooperative for the day! (That night was a whole different story....ugh!)
As for my sicknesses, the stomach thing was just a 24 hour deal. (Whew!) And my cold is still around. I think it keeps mutating or I keep picking up different bugs. Not happy about that (and the lack of sleep as of lately) but I'm still thankful. Last year was much worse for our family and sicknesses.
Now off to enjoy the rest of naptime before I wake up the boys to take them trick-or-treating!
You can bet on cute costumed pictures sometime later! :)
