I thought they would. I have lots to share but they just aren't making their way online. The reason? I'm incredibly busy all the sudden!
Instead of all those posts, I'll just sum things up here.
Potty training
It's taking up LOTS of my time this week. We've been at it for months now and Eli's just ready to tell his when he needs to go. (though he's still a little late and having frequent accidents) And he has this phobia of pooping on the potty now so we're trying to conquer that. Bribing is not working like I thought it would... And he's not quite dry through the night. I guess we're a long ways off, but each day that we're in underwear is that many less diapers I have to change. :D
Garage Sales
The past 2 weeks have been local city wide sales. This is my time to find new clothes for the kids. We have some wonderful relatives who happen to have daughters a size or 2 ahead of Sydney so she's loving hand-me-downs right now (Thanks Aunties!) and isn't in need of clothes for a year or so. Her dresser is overflowing though you'd never guess because she wears the same outfits over and over again. Eli's wardrobe was fairly stocked as well so he didn't need much this season. We're still on the lookout for new church shoes. Anyone seen a good deal on shoes lately? Isaac was the recipient of all the cute new clothes this time. My baby will be warm this winter! It's amazing how much you can find for such little money. On the other hand, it's kind of ridiculous how much people ask for "name brand," very used, in poor shape clothing. If I was on the ball I would have taken a picture of the kiddos in their church clothes today, but once again the camera stayed packed away in the diaper bag. I can remember to bring it places, just not to use it! ugh....
Working Out
I've taken a break from our morning and nightly walks and my Ab Ripper X video. It's been a nice break but I'm ready to get back into things. I did my video tonight. It. Kicked. My. Butt !!! Or I guess my abs. Ouch! At least the weather will cooperate the next few days so we can get more time outside.
Fall Cleaning
If I was expecting a baby I would call it nesting. But I'm not pregnant, so don't get any ideas! My house is getting cleaned from top to bottom. I cleaned cupboards and drawers this weekend-got rid of the broken tupperware and wiped every surface. I started cleaning the carpets (because of a HUGE accident Mr. Eli had) and made my "To-Clean" list for the week. Fans, windows, light fixtures, and every ceiling and wall in the house. Ambitious? I think so. Hopefully it gets done. In between all the cooking, baking, playing, and running errands. Oh, and play dates and sharing meals.
The laptop is almost out of battery so the pictures will have to wait til later. Keep you checking back ;)
